- A first edition printing of the Book of Mormon will be sold at Swann Galleries in New York on 22 March. The copy, signed by early church leader Orson Pratt, is expected to fetch between $70,000 and $90,000. A first edition Mormon hymnal, also part of the sale, may reach $40,000.
- Dukes of Dorchester (England) will host a sale of 220 rare books and manuscripts on 8 March: highlights include a first edition of Darwin's On the Origin of Species (estimated to sell for £30,000-£50,000), a subscriber's edition of T.E. Lawrence's (£10,000-£30,000) and Seven Pillars of Wisdom, and first editions of Gulliver's Travels and Robinson Crusoe. Works by Newton, Austen, and Dickens will also feature.
