The city of Baltimore has
cut funding to the Edgar Allan Poe House and Museum, and the site may have to close as early as next year if a solution is not found. I can do no better than to repeat the comments of "Philly Poe Guy" Ed Pettit, who told the
LATimes "What a travesty, that Baltimore won't fund the house, the site in their city of the most famous American writer ever. That is just absolutely, astoundingly stupid."
Hopefully there's a solution here, whether it's national park status, restitution of city funding, or something else entirely.
