An article in the new issue of
Canada's History (the newly-renamed version of
The Beaver) alerted me to the website of the
Cabot Project, a fascinating effort "to investigate the Bristol discovery voyages of the late fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries – in particular, those undertaken by the Venetian adventurer, John Cabot." There are links there to some of the foundational articles and research topics, as well as to come recently-discovered documents. Neat stuff!
