I found out a little bit more about the thefts from Boston's Old South Church first reported yesterday. I'm not at liberty to report everything, because the investigation is ongoing, but we know that the books and manuscripts were stolen from a display case in the church. The thefts were discovered yesterday, but are now believed to have taken place before then. One of the books is currently being retrieved for eventual return to Old South; it is believed to have been sold to a Boston-area bookshop in August.
