Book Review: "The Areas of My Expertise"
John Hodgman's The Areas of My Expertise is a compendium of facts (or, in this case, fictional facts) designed as a book of "complete world knowledge." Delivered in Hodgman's famous deadpan (which doesn't quite translate as well without Jon Stewart as foil), this book is generally amusing, but rarely laugh-out-loud funny. It can get a bit tedious at times, and is recommended more for a casual, occasional browse rather than a full read-through (I don't think I would have managed to complete it if I'd tried that).
