The
New Zealand Herald has a very
detailed article on the Karen Churton thefts from Massey University Library; it reports for the first time I've seen how the librarians finally discovered that Churton was the culprit. Since she'd deleted the records of the books she sold from the computer catalogue, it was only a printed shelf-list made prior to the deletions which alerted library officials to what had happened and allowed them to confirm ownership of the books.
