Long-Lost Rowley Church Records Found

The Boston Globe reported yesterday that a volume of the records for the First Congregational Church of Rowley (MA), missing since the 1960s, was recently found in a bank vault. The volume covers the ministry of Samuel Phillips, which lasted from 1661 until 1696. Scholars are delighted, and church officials say the records will be placed on permanent loan at an institution for research access.
