More on FB&C

Chris caught a statement earlier this week on the Fine Books & Collections website making the news official: the magazine has stopped publishing monthly editions, and will instead send a monthly e-newsletter, Fine Books "Notes" (to which you can subscribe here). They will also launch Gently Mad blog, a weekly column by Nicholas Basbanes, on the FB&C website.

Publishers say in the statement "Many of the regular columnists from Fine Books & Collections magazine will now appear directly on the magazine’s web site. However, Fine Books & Collections will publish an annual compendium in November 2009, sent to all current subscribers and available for sale and digital download to others. The compendium will include content published throughout the year digitally, as well as new content and a directory."

Right now the new website content, including Basbanes' columns, are not RSS-able ... I hope they'll provide a feed for those soon. [Update: Either I'm a dummy or it wasn't working this morning, but the Basbanes one works now].
