Narbrough Journal Will Stay in UK

A successful appeal for funds means that John Narbrough's journal of his 1669-71 journey to South America, as well as early voyages, will stay in Britain. The British Library pulled together £200,000 in donations from the National Heritage Memorial Fund, Bernard Breslaur, the Gosling Foundation, and private donors. The total cost to purchase the journal amounted to some £310,000.
